Oil paint portrait with palette knife

An oil painting on wooden canvas of a friend/classmate for painting 1. Done entirely with a palette knife. It was supposed to be a single session painting but I ended up needing her to sit for me outside of class as well. Kind of defeated the purpose of the assignment by using extra time and going into detail with the color shifts, but it turned out cool. 2024
